I really like that this monitor has an easily adjustable stand for the screen's up and down movement, because with LCD's like this one the gamma changes drastically with vertical viewing angle, so proper vertical adjustment is key. I also like the quick view settings for easy switching between different video modes like from reading text to watching a movie. I bought this monitor because of the great ratings from Cnet and PCmag.com, and so far the monitor's performance has held true to their reviews. What I did not like was that the darkest brightness level wasn't really dark enough, and the default movie setting wasn't ideally tuned for movie watching and needed some calibration (especially the brightness level.
Hewlett Packard makes an excellent product. The quality and images on my 20" monitor are crystal clear and make my work so much more enjoyable.

OVERALL RATING ON THE w2007 20.1in LCD Monitor. I would give it a 8 out 10 rating. 1st off let's talk about the "BrightView technology". BrightView improves the contrast and clarity of your screen display so colors are brighter and images come to life.In other word it's like they spayed the screen with a Clear coat. Gives it a shine to the surface of you screen looks more like a CTR(glass screen ). I would give BrightView technology a rating of 9 out of 10 . Now on to the rest of the design of the Hp w2007. It has 2 Video input connectors: 1:Digital (DVI-D) and 1:Analog (15-pin D-sub VGA) ( that's a good deal in it's self ). Refresh response time is 5 ms Display resolution is 1680x1050 @ 60Hz viewing angles are 160 degrees horizontal and up to 160 degrees vertical viewing angles. Contrast ratio is 1000:1 ( not to shabby for a LCD monitor under 250 dollars). Speakers and microphone are Integrated into the Rear Facing ( the speakers on this are terrible at best) 1 out of 10 (just because they do work) You'll need to buy extra speakers for this one . Well to sum it all up : The Hewlett Packard w2007 20.1-inch LCD Monitor. (Silver) is not a bad buy at all . My rating overall is 8-10 . Best thing is: The BrightView technology( the shinny glass like screen ). Worst thing is : The speakers ( you can barely hear them ). Also there is a w1907 ranging from 30 to 50 dollars less . In my opinion 1.1 inches is not worth 40 bucks !Read full review
I never saw it coming. The Hewlett Packard W2007 20 Inch Monitor is one of the best monitors I've ever used. Although it does not have the tilt or twist feature, the way its made totally changes the view of my living room. The shiny frame is really unique. HP has a black polish part finish in the front and a silver finish on the back. Colors are really good and I won't have to worry about the Brightness anymore. The best thing is that its an Energy Star even if you connect two sources at once. The back is at cold temperature just as if its not turned on. I love this monitor!!!
I have wanted to get a decent LCD monitor for years. The HP w2007 was heavily favored in computer magazines so when the tax rebate arrived I went for it. It has rejuvenated my interest in surfing the net. I go to all the old places I used to haunt just to see the vivid difference in the display. It's incredibly bright and detailed. I love the wide screen! I no longer have to scroll horizontally because even though I'm 60 I can see all the detail. I also appreciate its self calibrating abilities. Perhaps I don't hit the keys as hard as some because vibration of the base is not a problem. I was thinking I would have to replace my old computer but replacing that old 17" flat screen with this 20" LCD was all it needed.
