GOOD: This KVM switch comes nicely packaged and has a compact, clean look. All cables attach to the back in sequence so it's easy to keep your cabling clean and organized. The push button on the front is visible and accessible for convenience. Indicator lights let you know (a) if something is connected to each port and (b) if that port is currently active. BAD: There seems to be a very specific, very tedious method of connecting components to this switch and if you don't do it exactly right it just won't work at all. Read the instruction manual carefully and experiment, because I still haven't gotten mine to work right. At one point my monitor's refresh rate was changed (without my knowledge) to 30 Hz, causing it to be fuzzy and the picture to jump and vibrate. At other times one of the monitors just didn't display anything at all. It's pretty annoying. I've read other reviews that say you can get it to work if you plug everything in the right order in the right way.Read full review
Every time I switch, Windows10 thinks one of the dual monitors disappears and moves all of my windows into one screen. I have to move them back every time I switch. Not great. The switch itself takes about 10 seconds, and sometimes one or both monitors will blink on and off for about 30 more seconds until they seem to settle. Never had that problem before this switch. If you're not in a hurry though, and you're willing to hardcode your resolution settings in Linux's xconfig file(gnome's auto-resolution detects the kvm as 600x800), this kvm does ok. Also, you better clamp it to your desk. DVI cables are stiff and this thing takes six of them. It'll stick up in the air like a flower and will stay in place just as well, when you're trying to press the switch button.

I've used this KVM for about 3 years - it's been very reliable. I had a hard time finding any other digital KVM's for dual monitors and my eyes are not prepared to settle for anything less than a digital connection (DVI, HDMI or Displayport) Switching is easy with softkeys (scroll lock x2, then select 1/2) or the button. Monitor sync seems to vary depending on your PC. Some take longer than others. Label your cables - things get a little confusing with the rat's nest you'll have connected to this. I called tech support three times in the years I had this - they are very responsive. Once I had a hardware problem which they replaced under warranty. Twice they helped me determine problems which were not theirs. Overall - great professional product.
