Old black ink often works but not color ink
I've had good luck with the old black ink cartridges. The older color inks seem to go bad though or arrive bad. The most important issue is that when the color HP 49 ink is bad it can cause the black ink to have issues like having every other print nozzle in the bottom half of the print head not working. When the color ink is bad I don't mean a few nozzles are clogged I mean the whole cartridge seems to mostly not print or sometimes not get recognized by the printer at all.I've had good luck with the old black ink cartridges.
