I purchased two of these to install in my Dell Precision T5500. With 8 cores and 16 threads, these offer incredible performance for virtual machines and video editing. Based on the passmark scores, two of these perform close (in some situations better) than a Haswell i7 at a fraction of the cost. Although it lacks a bit in single core performance needed for gaming, I haven't noticed any bottlenecks running a GTX 970 when gaming. Can't go wrong with these processors. One warning though, if you're looking to put these in a T5500 like I did, make sure to look at which heat sink you have installed on the 1st cpu. If it's the small, all aluminium heat sink, you will need to purchase the Dell U016F heat sink (~$15) or else temps will rise to over 90c under high load.

Came in secured pretty well. Installed without issue, and then everything booted and up reported the proper speeds. I installed this on a 2010 MacPro 5,1 - The reported speed is 3.06 Ghz with SpeedBoost to 3.46Ghz. Note for future purchasers, the heatsinks on the MacPro are processor dependent (can't be swapped).

Product arrived ahead of schedule, and aside from unorthodox packaging (no ESD bag) works perfectly.
