PROS: This is an excellent wifi adapter for the price. Especially if you are a Kali Linux user and enjoy pentesting. I also use this with my Windows 10 laptop and it worked flawlessly with the first plugin. Overall I will likely buy a couple more in the future as their aren't too many small wifi adapters that can be used in monitor mode. CONS: None that I could find. The price to performance ratio was excellent. OTHER THOUGHTS: You should support Panda Wireless. They make great products for an excellent price. Do it!

This wireless adapter is not Ubuntu compatible. Under Ubuntu 14.04, it became very hot and dropped the connection every few minutes. Finding a decent wireless adapter for Ubuntu isn't easy so I had to do some research. It turns out that Ralink devices like this one should generally be avoided. For good Linux compatibility, Atheros and Intel devices are considered to be more suitable.

I wrestled for quite a while with a netgear adapter that kept randomly shutting down (apparently a common complaint with many for their models), .The computer was often used for remote live video to watch pets so I needed better reliability. When I found this Panda rated the second best adapter among a dozen tested in a recent (2017) review, I was skeptical because of its low price.(Apparently so were the reviewers). But wow was I impressed. This adapter has not shut down once in the 3 weeks since installation, comes right back online after computer hibernation, and as a bonus is unmistakable faster in both initiating network connections and data transfer. Then when I had a question, I had no trouble finding a simple support email address on the manufacturer's website, and didn't have to wait long for a response. I never heard of this company before, but I sure hope they stick around.Read full review

Installed on a Dell Optiplex 780 running Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon. Was pretty much plug and play. Did not need to do any kind of special installation trickery. Has worked very well with few troubles. Have been using this adaptor for a few months now, and it is still going strong.

No need for driver installation on Ubuntu 16.04 (64 bit). A few entries in the network connection dialogue box and it created a hotspot. For instruction google eg "panda hotspot installation ubuntu 16.04". One forgets about its existence. I mainly access it in the same room where the PC is but it works in adjacent rooms as well. Have not yet determined range limits.
