I knew these drive caddys weren't originals or anything but it appears that they're now being made much cheaper. The mechanism appears unchanged but the actual tray part is constructed of thinner stamped sheet metal and plastic instead of sheet steel and aluminum. They flex a lot more but less so once you mount a drive in them. They also fit the server I put them into. I would imagine I'm not going to swap out drives constantly so I don't see me wearing these out. Though it should be noted the the build quality is definitely not what I had experienced from the same seller just months ago...

Meh build quality. NOT dell originals. It would seem these are advertised as dell parts, but they are not. Plastic+very thin metal instead of much thicker steel and aluminum. Overall they're okay but in the future I'll buy originals.

They fit excellent on our EMC R640, the shipping was really fast and the package was great to protect the product.
