This gateway to broadband and router service is a touchstone for communications.Multiple computers may reach the Internet through USB and Ethernet interface. This DOCSIS 3.0 device focuses attention on upstream as well as downstream channels. By introducing this level of channel bonding, the DOCSIS compliant Arris cable modem adjusts to every need. The downstream speed of the Touchstone modem is 163.84 Mbps. This allows for surfing the Web, playing games, chatting with friends, or watching videos. It also offers volume solutions that work with intensive projects. The Arris cable modem reduces lag time and improves the overall user experience by working with the current Internet connection. The RF tuner is set up to bring in more bandwidth. At maximum gateway capacity, this WBM760a modem can grab upwards of 100 MHZ during bandwidth collection. Among this type of modems, it also presents a secure base for firmware and hardware solutions. In terms of firmware, the selection adjusts to the needs of each file for better results.Frequency range is made to reach commonly-held levels. The Arris modem hits between 100 to 1000 MHZ during any session. On average, this DOCSIS edition modem can capture around 90 to 100 MHZ at peak performance. Power is also a consideration for this dedicated series of modems. The power cord easily connects next to the related entry ports. Simply plug it in the back of the modem to begin operation.     Good Deal

    I have had this modem for only 3 weeks hooked up with comcast and although that's not a long time , it has worked fine ! the only thing is it don't have a "backup" battery which people may never use anyway , I have got wireless running out to ps4 and everything is just swell .. plus it saves me $5-$8 a month on rental fees .. CAN YOU DIG IIIIIIIIIIIIIIT !

    Buy your own modem and do not lease one.

    I live in Northern California and am a Comcast customer. I use their TV service along with high speed internet and one phone line. I got tired of paying $8 per month to lease their modem. After searching in ebay I discovered the identical modem that Comcast was leasing to me. Once it was delivered I endured over 3 hours of Hell getting Comcast to authenticate the device. (They have to be sure the modem has not been stolen.) Once I found a competent Comcast employee, the process was quite smooth and the new modem is working perfectly. I shall amortize the cost in eight and half month and after that the modem will be free. Everyone should do this.

    Great product! Would highly recommend.

    Very, very happy with this product. I know with some other modems you have to reset them, but I have had mine for several months now and have never had an issue. When I got it, all I had to do was hook it up, call my internet provider, and I had fast internet. Have had no speed issues, just as fast is when I was using my internet providers modem, and this one I don't have to pay every month to rent. I was a little skeptical about buying it, but I am very glad I did. Would highly recommend.

    Getting rid of monthly cable modem rental fees

    This modem replaced the cable modem I was renting from Comcast; saves a lot of money. Definitely worth it. I'm curious about replacing this one for a faster modem, but I'm not sure if that will help download and upload speeds much.
