I recommend this book along with other Counterfeit Detection books. The more information and knowledge you have, the better off you will be! With so many counterfeits out in the marketplace, this book is a 'must have' by both collectors and dealers alike. Some of the counterfeit gold coins seen are such a professional job that they will elude some of the dealers even! Other counterfeits are even quite crude even as some of the pieces actually circulated.
We find this book to be a must have at the shop to help us identify some counterfeit pieces more easily. It has great photos, and gives you a wonderful overview on gold counterfeits out there. I would strongly suggest this reference to anyone that buys or sells in the gold coin market.
