You can tell immediately upon opening the box that these products are made for durability. I have fixed hundreds of iPhones over the years and always used the cheap tools that usually get provided with the repair parts. Can't wait to test these out on my next repair! I've needed the iOpener for so long to properly heat up the adhesive. No more hair dryers! Only thing I'd like to add is that I was originally going to purchase from iFixit's website, but decided to look on eBay. It's actually cheaper to buy the iFixit products on eBay compared to their site. They might be listed for less on their site, but by the time you add in shipping, it's less on eBay.

Although the tools were of good quality, following the instructions to the letter, I was unsuccessful in opening a Samsung Galaxy s6. I resorted to using my heat gun. The suction cup needs to be much bigger, and I'm unconvinced that the heating pad would would be effective, even with a larger suction cup.

Easily a must have for working on smartphones. The screwdriver bits are in common sizes for smartphones, and the little blue picks have been insanely useful for seperating thin, delecate parts. They're as thin as playing cards, if not thinner, but still reasonably strong. The halberd spudger is a great help for prying and disconnecting cables. The suction cup puller is surprisingly strong and durable, and iseems able to pull off most screens/back covers. The heat tool works well enough, but I'd still prefer a cheap heat gun. Either way it's not bad. Overall this set is a decent addition to any smartphoen repair kit. And iFixit's ebay store list items cheaper than their website too lol.

The tools of this product are of good quality, but a couple things need to be addressed. For one thing heating time for the ioperner pad depends on your microwave oven, 30 seconds was not long enough for my oven of about 1000 watts output. I increased the heat time to about 45 - 50 seconds. The iopener was then very hot to the touch. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to complete the battery exchange as I never did a battery change on an ipad mini ver 1. All in all it turned out fine. I would recommend watching the procedure on youtube several times before blindly digging into your ipad.. Gently clean your inside screens before assembly of the LED and cover glass. It is hard to see dirt until you put it all back together.

It is of high quality. Totally worth the money. Not like those chinese clones usually included for free in battery repair packs. A Phillips screw in my phone cannot be unscrewed by the chinese screw driver, but ifixit driver works.
