Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in US
This is an absolutely essential reference source for those who buy historical US coins. Because of it, I haven't been ripped off as often as otherwise would have been the case. It's an annual production and I get it every year.

It's very disappointing when having to rely on illustrated depictions of coins in question rather than on actual photos. Not one coin in the entire 2019 Red Book is a photo, but are all digital renditions, leading to question reliability, since with actual photos there would be no doubt about the accuracy of any coin errors in question or intrigue. As well, the use of asterisks (*) to denote a sub-explanation of coin errors or coin features via multiple copy-and-paste descriptions intended to describe specifics of a coin error is useless and confusing. It leaves more questions than answers. This 2019 Red Book was thrown together on the Cheap without much regard to usefulness in mind. It could be debated that the author(s) leave intelligence up to the reader to decipher implied or inferred characteristics of specific coin errors, or that the book is so thoroughly lacking in meaningful effort that the word "Red" in the books title "Red Book" would more accurately describe its contents by replacing the word "Red" with "LAZY" [book]. I'm still scratching my head at the thought of what, exactly, I purchased? Coins exist, they truly do. This lazy book is clear about that. It depicts a lot of coins, that's for certain. No where, for example, does this lazy book even touch on the subject of the 1969 Lincoln Cent with the missing "FG" and "floating roof" on the reverse Lincoln Cent. No where, for example, does this book show or explain the "spitting eagle" error quarter, nor the Delaware quarter "spitting horse" error. If this book is intended as being the "go to" book of authority on coin information for coin collecting, it fails dismally. If it's not intended as being the "go to" book, then my expectation of this book's purpose needs to be lowered to the realistic level of "trinket." The 2019 Red Book for United States Coins is nothing more than that of a trinket. I wasted money buying this book.Read full review

Excellent demi-reference for back history of U.S. coins, although it's no Walt Breen. Helpful knowing mintage & approximate prices although It would be helpful if MS-65 prices were included on most later 20th century coins
