This coin guide is a must-have for every coin enthusiast. I ordered one for myself in January 2018, and this order was a duplicate as a gift for a friend. There’s much background information about each coin, and its design and specifications, and the photos are detailed, informative, and colorful ... exceptionally nice book. I learn something I didn’t previously know almost every time I use it. As well, I had only bought the hard-cover editions in the past, but these spiral-bound ones are the way to go ... waayy easier to use.

Last year, I purchased the expanded version of the Red Book, and it was good, but bulky to use, and after about 6 months the back molding started to give away. This 2018 edition does not have the necessary grades covered, and on every look up, the quoted values are so far off that it's useless. I may try next year with "Blue Book" of a different publication.

This "little" book is easy to use - I love the spiral. Interesting background on coinage. Excellent reference for looking up coins and comparing my coins to the pictures.

Perfect reference for anyone interested in obtaining US coins. The older "Redbook" is useful but these newer versions have outstanding color photos to help you appreciate the artistic value of American coinage.

Found this guide book last year, even though it's their 71st year in publication. After reading a good portion, I've learned more about US coins than in any of my 30 years of collecting. Wish I discovered it decades ago. The information is almost overwhelming, but if you desire to know just about everything (if not everything) about US coins, errors and their value, this is the book for you.
