The installation cd is easy to use, had all diffrent versions i could install. I didnt know i dindt come with a key, but i had on on the back of my computer.

The installation went great until I tried to connect to the internet via the built in WiFi. Unfortunately the PC could no longer "see" it as an available device. I also cannot get Windows updates anymore, which is a bit concerning, but I'm using Comodo and a VPN so hopefully not a big problem. Annoying having to tether my tablet every time, though this is due to the faultly DVD ROM on my PC preventing me from installing the driver that came with the USB router. Hey Ho. At least I've brought a PC back to life for less than a tenner.

I wiped my pc thinking I had backed up everything. I had not 🙄 disc was easy to use pc is running like a dream now although it keeps telling me it’s not genuine but I took the number off side of PC so know it is, also bought driver reinstaller which was equally good.

Don't know what caused or how my system crashed and wouldn't Boot! - what I do know is that without this DVD, that I was able to download, I was facing a complete re-install and all the updates that follow. The recovery software is fantastic and easy to use.

... this does the job. My hdd windows partition was bust and not booting. Changed the bios boot settings to usb device ahead of hard disk, stuck on the key, and away you go. Its a slow memory device. Maybe usb1.0.? It has extra capacity on it to make other driver folders etc. And copy everything you need to it. But dreadfully slow. However, o ce you do that- if you need to - the rest is easy and quick. Top bit of kit. Can't recommend enough. Took a few goes to get the hdd partition reset again, and it completely erased it all.
