The item posted does not have any kind of holder for the apple pencil. This is despite all the pictures in the listing, including the one that allegedly would fit my particular device (Pro 9.7"), are showing an apple pencil holder in one way or another (pics attached).
The packaging was pretty damaged. It makes it difficult to know if the item is really new, but it looks new.
Aside from that and the fact that it is quite heavy, it does its job for the price. Good addition to an aging iPad.
