I was a bit hesitant about buying a ASUS ROG swift 1440p 144hz monitor, only because i had heard some storys about first release quality control issues. I am very happy to report that it does not have any dead pixels or any aggressive back light bleed. I has an amazing depth to the picture i have never experienced. The colors are not as vivid as an IPS display, but the high refresh rate and the quick response time of the grey to grey makes it very clear and crisp. I have always had IPS displays, but i decided to go to TN and i am not the least bit disappointed. Actually this monitor has helped make my gaming experience much more immersive, and i am able to even play better. I would recommend this monitor to any gamer who wants the best of the best display, but someone who doesnt want to spend $2000 on a 34" ultra wide monitor that will need more GPU power. I currently have a Gigabyte 980 Ti Xtreme gaming and am able to get over 100 fps average in GTA 5 on very high settings. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE.Read full review

Let me begin by saying that this is absolutely the best monitor I have ever had the pleasure of gaming on. If you own a Nvidea graphics card there is nothing like having the frame rates of the GPU and monitor synced with the G-sync technology in this monitor. The max refresh rate of 144 Hz is phenomenal, and makes every game I play through this monitor feel silky smooth. Being a 1440p monitor the pixel density is great enough that I barely even have to use any anti-aliasing on games (usually 2 x MSAA). My final good word on this monitor is the USB 3.0 hub (2 ports) which is located on the bottom center of the monitor, it really helps me deal with the short USB cable for my headphones. Now on the down side of the monitor. I have to take a star away from the picture quality because this is still a TN (Twisted Nematic) panel... So the colors are not as vivid as on an IPS (In-Plane Switching) monitor, and the viewing angel is somewhat limited. However looking directly at the monitor the only noticeable detriment is the washed out look the colors have. Now that is just an unescapable fact of a TN panel. However I do have to say that if your buying this panel through Ebay, make sure you look for a panel without any burnt out pixels. This is a MUST. Asus will only RMA the monitor if you have 4 or more dead pixels. So you can receive a monitor with three annoying dead pixels, and be up a creek without a paddle. Those are my only qualms with the monitor though. So just know what your getting into when you buy this monitor. It is a gaming monitor, so don't expect great results if your looking to have a monitor to do photo or video editing on, but expect the absolute best results if your pairing this with a beefy Nvidea graphics card for some serious gaming. Also make sure you buy a tested one with no dead pixels, nothing could be worse than buying a new one and finding a few dead pixels, but not enough to garner an RMA from Asus.Read full review
Native 1440p looks dang near close to 4k if you ask me. And the high refresh rate along with G-SYNC makes for butter smooth gameplay, especially with a Pascal card from Nvidia. 27" is the perfect screen size for 144op. Well worth the money. You won't be disappointed with it.

Overall it is a very good monitor. There are a lot of horror stories in regards to dead pixels and such but I did not experience that. The monitor itself is nice and the features are what you come to expect from the ROG Swift line. My only issue was with the color grading, out of the box it was dull as is most of the TN monitors but with a good icc profile and some tweaking to the gamma it really comes to life. Just look up color calibration and you can find many forum posts to that regard.

Product is very nice, everything I wanted in a gaming monitor. Out of the box the colors were a little warm for my liking, but a quick look through the monitors color options had that fixed. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this product.
