This is THE keyboard that paved the way for all modern keyboards. While it isn't perfect (mainly plastic rivets that will break on the inside due to age), it is built like a tank. It is heavy, but still lighter than a IBM Model F. They can get pricey, but with a little care, this keyboard will be good for another 30 years. If you want a quiet and light keyboard, this isn't it. If you want a professional typists keyboard with a legendary history, excellent build quality and the ability to work with a modern computer (PS/2 port or use with an active USB converter) then this is the keyboard for you.

The IBM model M is the best and most unique feeling keyboard I've ever typed on. The condition is excellent especially considering it is 28 years old. All the keys are working and fully functional, none of the keys feel inconsistent with the rest of the board.
