The black on this monitor is non existent. It's a really off contrast, stale black... for those who are snobs of black contrasting for quality. This monitor is amazing though! -It is a nice build, quality is surprising considering it is HP. -Light weight, I've had larger screens weigh less, though. -Built in speakers are a massive plus for those using a development board like rpi or phones... although their quality is as expected.. not the best but I've experienced worse built in speakers. The volume comes default at 50 in the settings menu. -Speakers are reasonably loud. Shocked me how loud they got and was still bearable in audio quality. -The monitor is decently thin but not the thinnest in the world. -I would put this monitor at a medium-low power efficiency for those concerned. I've had 32" OLED monitors built better and thinner that consume less energy on the highest settings... but we didn't buy this for those features, we bought this for the nice price at 20 something inches. -Configuration menu is limited at best, and annoying.. the buttons are all on the bottom of the monitor and the configuration options do little to make a difference on the displayed image. I do like being able to turn off the power light, though. -Blacks are horrendous.. they are basically a medium to slightly dark gray.. I believe this to be the LED's they chose to use and how they have them positioned to light the LCD display, though. I'm sure with a little tweaking it can be resolved. I really like this monitor, it was worth the 69 bucks I spent with free shipping. My review may just be an isolated case since I've never had this monitor before now so I may just have a slightly damaged monitor.Read full review
