Product Information

Optimax2 connector is a revolutionary field-installable optical fiber connector that does not require polishing, bonding or epoxy. Its unique design incorporates a pre-polished fiber stub in a matching gel and a splice mechanism, which provides a fast, secure, and reliable termination on optical fiber cables. No epoxy, no polishing and no complicated tools are required. All critical steps are performed in the factory, ensuring a superior-quality connection every time. Only simple tools such as a fiber cleaver and a fiber stripper are required for installation, making Optimax2 a low-cost field termination. The Optimax2 contains many improvements from the Optimax, most of them, in the internal splice mechanism that make it a much more reliable connector, other improvements were made to the installation tools and make the Optimax2 easier to install. Optimax2 is designed for 62.5/125 ÃÂµm or 50/125 ÃÂµm Multimode fiber and is available for ST Compatible and SC connector installations. The Optimax2 Optical Fiber Field Installable Connector is a high quality Multimode ST Compatible or SC connector using a ceramic ferrule with a physical contact (PC) polish that ensures the best possible mating of optical fibers.
