Overall this is a much better product than other brands of the same design. Steel components instead of plastic means this should last for the long haul. Very stable at full height and width. The wingnut connectors are also steel so ones they are tightened up all connections were solid as a rock. I loaded it up with 14 Pars and 4 specials and a hazer and no sag of any kind. The only reason I gave 4 stars was that one bolt hole for connecting one of the I=beams was off so you couldn't put the bolt through. It was an easy fix with a drill and a metal bit but I expect brand new stuff to work out of the box. But I definitely recommend it over the On Stage and American DJ stuff.

Easy to assemble. Truss feels sturdy, secure and should easily support several hundred pounds. We are going to use as a high school cross country finish line to support banners and panel antennas and truss makes it easy to mount these items without interference to runners.

This is a great product. Durable and holds up to the weight of a fairly large show for a local DJ setup. It is heavy and heavy duty. The only problem I had with it is the fact that all the connection joints are tightened with an allen fastener where other stands use knobs to tighten all the joints and connectors (this may be a benefit for long term durability - will have to see). The stands themselves use knobs which is good. As with all stands like this, you will want to immediately remove the pins and attach them with much more durable cabling or ties. Overall it is a Great product for a great price which more than compensates for the minor issues.

I love the fact that you don't need any tools to set this system up. I had looked at many portable truss systems before deciding on this one and this was my deciding influence. Also I can use just what I need for a particular show or event. I can just take one stand and 'T' bar if I only need a few spots or anything else up to the full system for a big fullly lighted show. I love this system! I only had two minor complaints. When I unpacked it for first assembly I found the 'T' bar brackets were both loose, and since it is supposed to be 'no tools required' the proper size Allen wrench wasn't included. I had to hunt for the right Allen wrench to tighten the brackets before I could assemble it. One other minor flaw is the holes in one of the tubular truss reinforcing inserts were drilled slightly out of place. My friend was gone in the van with our drill and bits in it so I had to work with it and force the bolt through by catching the threads of the bolt in the hole and wiggling it until it wore away the edge of the hole to let it go through. I don't consider this a 'defect' in workmanship because everything is manufactured to within a certain tolerance and one hole could have been plus 0.005 and the other one could have been minus 0.005, within tolerances but by it being at both extremes it didn't quite fit the first time! All in all I'm quite pleased with this system and for anyone planning to mount more than just a few spots or something I highly recommend it!Read full review

I bought this smaller truss package because I couldn't justify the weight, setup time, and cost of pro-grade truss when I am only playing "truss-sized" shows a few times a year with my band. And I have to say, this rig is perfect for the task. It hits a sweet spot between affordability and durability. I will say, this is not in the same echelon as the pro grade truss, and you shouldn't expect it to be, at this price. But it is a lot closer to pro-grade truss than other truss systems in this range. Hardware is all metal, the only real plastic parts are the sleeve guides, end caps, and tightening knobs in the stands. No plastic parts in the truss sections themselves. The parts all seem to fit well and I didn't have any trouble with assembly. My least favorite thing about this truss is how the truss sections join with a combination of tubes and clamps, all assembled using wing-nuts. The wingnut attachment system isnt as convenient or simple as the pin-locks that the pro-grade truss uses. That being said, the wing-nuts are WAY MORE convenient than the bolt-together truss that makes up most of the other choices in this class. My favorite thing about this system is how light it is. With some lightweight LEDs strapped on the truss, my entire rig weighs less than 200 lbs. Unless you have a team of linebackers as a road crew, weight is incredibly important. I love having a truss that I can put up and down without feeling like I'm going to injure my back. And while I'm on the topic, I should mention that this truss is a lot easier to put up and down with two people. It's not impossible to do alone, but I prefer setup with two. Full disclosure, I did feel as though the 15' truss was a little too narrow for a band. I bought a fourth truss section to bring my total width to 20', which seems like a really nice width to frame the band. All in all, I would call this a five star truss system, because of its value for the money. You can buy better truss, but not at this price.Read full review
