    Crucial MX100 512GB SSD - Good Vakue

    These units have been replaced by a more current version and seem to be readily available. I use them in a portable external docking station and they are plug-n-play. Both drives initialized as expected under Windows 10 and formatted properly with no bad sectors (can SSD drives even have bad sectors?). They perform very well with my USB 3.0 connection to the dock. Prices on SSDs are coming down rapidaly, but at the time I purchased these (two) it saved me $15-$20 each over the cost of the MX300 or other comparable drives.

    Great reliable fast budget SSD

    I have owned this drive for a year and a half and have had no problems. I ordered one this week as this price is sweet. I want to Raid 0 two of these drives to effectively double my capacity and speeds.     More than I expected.

    I initially just wanted an external back up but after I got it I thought why not replace the 1TB HDD spin drive in my Toshiba satellite. I cloned the system drive using AOMEI Backer upper tool. It all went very smooth. I now have a 512 Gb SSD system on my Toshiba Laptop. The Laptop is a dream running all my apps. I still have more than half of the total space left over. It does Crystal Mark R and W at aprox 350 Mb/s and abt 20 to 30 Mb/s on 4k files. It is certainly a great decision I made to do this. The whole procedure took less than an hour to do. A breeze. The price was right. I won a low bid! Get one!

    Made my old i3 work better then my i7

    This hard drive is beyond words, I had an old i3 which no one used. It was old and slow. I replaced the hard drive and now it runs faster then my i7's. I have been in IT for about 20 years and can safely say is that crucial is one of the best brands out there. This SSD by far out performs many other ones with the same value. I was looking to buy samsung and changed my mind at the last second after reading the reviews for this hard and man, was I happy. Great performance, I am running a hyper - v server and many servers on my old laptop now without any issues. highly recommended.

    Good Stuff

    Went from about 3-4 minutes boot time to about 20 seconds. Made me feel my i5 - 8 gigs of ram was getting old and tired. OOPPS wrong part. The transfer was the worst part. Now I can just enjoy the speed. Happy Happy!
