This product is great and it fits the description, but i thought that it may have been a little bigger than what it is. I have an 8 year old that i was buying it for but he is too tall for it. I wish that it was adjustable to length. Instead of sending it back i decided to give it to my niece for christmas, My son was disappointed because he loved it and wanted it for himself but it was too small for him

The assembly process was a bit difficult because many of the holes to screw one part to another didn't line up well. Took some muscle to get them to line up. Once assembled, there are only 3 seat settings to account for the size of the rider, and they are only about an inch apart, hence there is not much adjustment to accommodate different sized kids. It says it is for ages 3-7. We have a normal sized 4, almost 5 yr. old. His legs were too long (even on the longest setting) and he couldn't pedal it. We also have a 2 and a half yr. old. His legs were the right length, but the shallow/short pedal turning radius was very difficult for him to make the pedals go around. He did manage it some, but it was difficult and he soon gave up. It was entertaining, but not for long. Maybe others would have more success and enjoy it more? It is durable, but I would be hesitant to recommend it based on my experience with it.Read full review

It's a great looking and impressive gift for your child, in my case, grandson. Putting it together was easy up to one point, and that was installing the steering wheel. The bolt holes don't line up and there is nowhere to make adjustments. Drilling the hole out larger was the only way to make it work but that also makes it slightly unsafe and much more vulnerable to breakage. Now, the bad part of why I don't recommend this toy. The pedal drive is by chain. The kart arrived with the chain already fallen off. That means the chain was not installed properly. When you go to put it back on, there are two spots you have to unscrew the plastic covers too get at it. It goes back on easy, but there is nowhere to adjust chain tension to prevent it from coming off again. Well, my grandson loved it, until...... the chain came off, within the first three minutes. Takes time to go and put it back on. Well, in the span of 30 mins of allowing him to play on it, the chain fell off three times. My son in law was tired of fixing it each time, so we ended "play time". My recommendation, unless you have the patience to deal with this, avoid this product. I doubt my son in law brings it out for his child anymore.Read full review

It's very cute. Purchased for my 5 year old grandson, almost too small for him. I would say up to maybe 4 years old., or very small 5 to 6 year olds. It is made mostly of pretty flimsy plastic, so it won't last long. Children tend to be pretty tough on items made of plastic. They like to see how far it will go before it breaks. Parts also of cheaper quality. I paid around $50 for it. Would say that should be the max price for this. It will give them that amount of entertainment and exercise value. I have seen it upwards to $150. Definitely not worth that price. Shipping was free so that part I loved.

Christmas morning my boys were stoked to try out their new pedal kart. Santa had just dropped it off the night before and his helper elf (me) had just assembled it in the nick of time for Christmas morning. Everything was going great until the chain came off in the first 20 minutes and all forward motion quickly ceased. I thought no biggie how hard could it be to get the chain back on the sprockets. So I grabbed the drill and proceeded to remove the 18+ screws from the underside of the kart. Well easier said than done the pedaling motion had sheared off the plastic tabs that hold the pedals and front sprocket in place. After getting a bigger hammer I was able to put it all back together and my boys got another 30 minutes or so of enjoyment...until the chain came off again. I didn't try to fix it so it is now just a push kart with useless pedals! Pretty bummed, but it does drift very well now with the help of Dad pushing from behind!Read full review
