Aside from battery life so far, machine is fine. I ordered a second (new) battery to see if battery machine came with is just old. If new battery doesn't hold charge for more than 2 hours, I would be looking for a better longer lasting battery pack. Also, machine doesn't save all applications before shutting down when battery power runs out. Not sure if I can manage this with power settings. Have to look into this. My E6420 which is larger but doesn't have an illuminated keyboard holds a charge for about 6 hours with multiple applications opened, and if power does go out, it saves all applications prior to shutting down - a nice feature.

This thing is a workhorse, no doubt about it. Tons of easily upgradable and replaceable parts. I just bought a 12-cell battery, a new wifi/bluetooth card, 8gb of ram, and a 128gb SSD. This little thing is lightning fast now. Perfect for streaming videos, and any daily task, not too good for games, but hey its a laptop from 2011. lol. but itll play basically any game from 2009ish and back at basically max settings, and many many more at lower settings. But its great for emulators and things like that. Webcam is okay, about like a tablet of standard quality.

It came with Windows 7 (my favorite Windows) and because I have Windows 10 on my desktop computer, My Dell E6410 has saved the day. Windows 10 has clichés (does not recognize JAVA program) and I use the laptop for my important stuff. Its the best laptop I've had in the last 10 years. Its fast and reliable.
