The black cartridge does not print out a nice looking copy, even when I changed the setting to high quality. I did buy these for a new Canon printer, so there may be a difference in how the printers perform. The color one is used only to highlight words, so that works fine on the Canon, and I will continue to purchase. I give a positive because I purchased black cartridges from this seller for my HP (which no longer works), and the print out was very nice. The cartridges arrive very quickly.
