My old video card died and I thought I'd never get my old Mac Pro up and running again. But then I found this card - at a reasonable price. Ordered it, it arrived very quickly, installed easily, and I'm back up and running. Performs like a champ.

incompatible with the MacPro 2008 model and after working for one day, and turn on next morning, only hear a loud hissing sound of the video card, and boosting fail, and motherbord failed. This (used) product ought not be resold to customers risking property and be abandoned

This card was current back in the beginning of 2008, and it sold new for $300 plus. (but often found for under $300) The reviews on newegg were numerous and very positive. Note, this card wasn't the flagship product when released, it was a very high end mid-range card if that makes sense. Now in 2011, the card will play any newer games at lower settings, and games from 2008 it will play fantastically. I think in 2011, this card, used, will be a solid deal under $65 (including shipping). Great for people who don't need the newest games at the highest resolutions at the highest settings...
This was the perfect complement for my gaming system. It has allowed me to run two cards with an SLI bridge. Online gaming has never been so good. eVGA, in my opinion is the first and last name in gaming graphics cards and motherboards. You can't beat em'. They can be clocked into the 600s and now with 2 it's a whole new ball game boys and girls...
Now, most know? When you spend time on old, apple Mac - 2007? Trying to do upgrade? You just get junk! The video card was one! Well not this time, and it worked with the os change. This is a good buy for the older mac to work today's os!
