Impressive router, even more impressive price
I've struggled with covering my roughly ~5000sq ft house with a solid wireless connection without breaking the bank. Google's newest WiFi solution had me stoked but by heavens is that expensive. This router represents the opposite of that. Router triples up with switch, wireless routing, and a wireless access point, while managing to handle all three seamlessly thanks to it dual 2.4/5.0 gHZ available bands. I'm currently using this to cover half of house and the signal is easily touching all ~2500sq ft needed. Wired config: - Inbound connection to ethernet port 0 from AC network adapter connected to primary modem/router - 1 gaming PC via ethernet port 1 - 1 at home work station via ethernet port 2 Wireless config (5.0 gHZ): - 1 Chromecast - 1 x 10 phones, tablets, and ... Cons: Flimsy, keep it out of the reach of little ones or it will get broken. No Wifi 6. Pro's: I have fiber and with this router we have cameras, doorbell cam, 3 tv's and multiple tablets etc streaming(kids, grandkids etc) and it buffers a little sometimes but overall for the price in 2019( $15 used) this is a great router for moderate home use. - easily split 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks; important for many smart home devices that wont work with 5ghz or mesh routers that may not properly assign them to 2.4ghz -ability to set up guest network -easily hackable to accept aftermarket router firmware if you want too. I purchased a usb laptop fan unit and used command strips to add a cooler to the back of this router and it runs very cool; may help extend its life.Cons: Flimsy, keep it out of the reach of little ones or it will get broken. Great router - especially for the price
