ITEM: IVAR T. HOLT Norway VINTAGE 830S Silver BUNAD SOLJE Folklore Costume BROOCH PIN
APPROXIMATE AGE: Early to Mid 20th Century
APPROXIMATE SIZE: The solje pin measures approximately 3 1/2\" in length by 2\" wide(at its widest point).
VINTAGE CONDITION: Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition with only very minor surface wear that is consistent with age and gentle use. There is nothing missing and all of the drops & pendants are complete. The pin has not been cleaned or polished and is being offered as it was found with its original patina.
WEIGHT: The pin has an approximate gram weight of 26.75 grams
MARKS: The pin is signed with the IVAR T. HOLT mark of the initial H in a circle. The back of the pin is also marked \"830S\"(see close up photograph).
SPECIAL NOTES: This large size vintage Norwegian Bunad or Norwegian Folklore Costume silver SOLJE brooch pin was made by one of Norway\'s leading silversmiths and SOLJE specialists. The mirrored disks & spoons, delicate turned wire-work, fine applied silver bead-work and the overall construction are masterfully accomplished in this piece. A great piece for any serious collector of things Norwegian. Far, far nicer than shown!!!
