DESCRIPTION: This is a bridal basket with the ruffled glass insert. It is quadruple plate which does not mean that it wasplated four times. It means it has four times the silver of regular plate.The James W Tufts company made these between 1875 and 1902. This has excellent craftsmanship and exquisite design.The glass is in excellent condition and does not have any chips, cracks or scratches.Considering the age of this piece, it has to have been rarely used.The James W Tufts company was a Boston firm.

I was asked to confirm if the glass was chip and crack free. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. I was also asked to confirm that the handle was not glued to the base. It is in the original condition and has not been repaired. It is firmly attached to the base.
