We are quite pleased to offer this Meiji sterling silver floral and harbor scene footed tray.

Quite unique as formed in three sections.

A partial fan medallion with prunus leaf and flower atop satin like stippled surface.

Smaller fan shows a quiet harbor scene, masted ship and walled fortress built into the cliff above.

The moon shape section one half with walled fortress showing gilt \"horn\" turret.

Second half with all over royal chrysanthemum very tightly woven, the flowers atop and against one another. As is the Japanese fashion.

Atop richly cast iris flower and stem feet.

Could not find signature. Tests sterling.

Japanese floral and harbor card tray is 7 by 4 1/4 inches and 7 standard ounces.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The brilliant fan medallion, harbor and floral retain their original crisp, vibrant hand chased detail. Stands firm on table.
