We are pleased to offer this monumental c1910 Jenkins & Jenkins sterling silver five piece tea and coffee service.
Founded by J. Jacoby in Baltimore in 1879.
Listed as Jenkins & Jenkins, names of the later owners. From only 1908 to 1915 when they were acquired by Schofield Co.
In raised pear form.
Adorned all over with beautifully hand decorated leaf and floral sprays. Carved in exceptionally high relief atop rich satin surfaces.
Individual flower petals and leaves fashioned as real. >
Ruffled gadroon edge covers with leaf framed mushroom and cap finial.
The feathered leaf tapering S handles, retain the original heat stops.
Script ELL (?) under the bases. There are no monograms to the visible floral surfaces.
This c1910 Jenkins and Jenkins sterling silver coffee pot is 9 1/2 inches. Teapot 9 inches.
The set weighs 85 standard ounces.
Hallmarked as shown.
In excellent condition. Appears little used. Handles secure and retain original heat stops. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The leaf and floral retain original detail. Stands firm on table. Mild wear and tiny chip coffee upper heat stop.
