Found this nice old carved cuckoo clock at estate sale. Bird and leaf motive as well as nesting birds, 2 owls at top, 4 dancing figurines below cuckoo. It measures 16\" across (at widest part) and 23\" in length. Marked German on wooden dial. The back has several markings: Synt. Oil Clock 859 G.M. 16490000 1674539- 2 more sets of numbers below the black wheel, which I cannot decipher. Pendell 23.5 cm, Made in Germany, A Schneider Söhne, No Jewels, Unadjusted. PLEASE NOTE: There is one large weight missing (marked 1500), no doubt for the dancing mechanism. It plays Der fröhliche Wanderer (The Happy Wanderer and Edelweiss),Swiss musical movement Cuendet. I do not know if the clock is in running order. There is a sticker on back cover marked 1-99: Clock Repair 610 759 1373 Richard B Mackey, Wind Gap, PA 18091.Depending on zip code, I might ship the weights separate via small Flat-Rate ($ 5.50) for cheaper rate.
