Wonderful Chiltern \'Hugmee\' teddy bear. Circa late 1920\'s-1930\'sMeet \'Bartram\' the most wonderful Hugmee character bear made by Chiltern and dating
to the 1930\'s. He is quite a big bear, standing at 21\" tall and is five ways jointed with
all his joints working well and is very firmly stuffed with wood wool.Bartram has been loved as you can see from the photos and he has overall thinning
of his mohair plush with some small bare areas on his legs, back and head, but I would estimate
he has retained about 80% overall and he is still a very handsome and characterful bear. His cotton pads are original and in good condition apart from one small hole on his
left foot pad which is not leaking any stuffing and could be easily repaired if you felt it necessary.
He has three claw stitches on each paw. All his other original features are intact including his
amber and black glass eyes and vertical nose stitching with the two outer stitches extending upwards
which was a characteristic of early Chiltern bears. Bartram doesn\'t have any labels but he is
unmistakeably a Chiltern Hugmee bear and early bears were not always labelled. He is a lovely
chap with a wonderfully expressive face and would make a great addition to any hug.This 1930\'s Chiltern teddy bear is being offered with a very reasonable
