To see MORE photographs before offerding click hereHere is a wonderful Set of Lionel prewar O gauge trains you won\'t see very often. This is semi-scale Set No. 787W - but featuring the gun-metal gray semi-scale No. 763E Hudson Steam Locomotive, with its No. 2226WX gun-metal gray coal pile whistle tender. The Engine is pulling (4) semi-scale freights - the No. 2954 Pennsylvania boxcar, No. 2955 Shell tank, No. 2956 B & O Hopper, and the No. 2957 NYC caboose This set came out of a home and is guaranteed to be all original. Comes with its all its individual boxes but no Set Box (not sure whether there was ever a Set Box for this set). Condition is excellent plus as seen in the pictures below (and please make sure you click the link above to view many more pictures of this set). The engine is really beautiful and runs well when tested. The only issue is up front on the nose where it appears that some lube leaked out when in box and hardened around the smoke stack and ran down the sides affecting the paint. The tender is outstanding. A couple paint nicks, but overall looks great. Some oxidation on the drawbar. The frame on the bottom is the gray version.The Engine box is missing its labels, tape and one flap. The rare Tender box was covered with masking tape when I found the set. I took off most of the tape and exposed the \"GM\" on the end flap. Missing its flaps on one end, but still has its original double insert. The freights are all in excellent shape. Some wear on the door guides of the box car, a coupler pin missing on the Hopper, both coupler pins on the Caboose being soldered, which also has a few paint marks - but overall a nice set of freights. Boxes are have some missing and/or taped flaps. All have their Inserts. I believe the many photos below tell the story. Please ask any questions about this rare piece, and I will try and answer all.
