This is a loaded photo album scrap book from WWII that includes a documented flag captured on Iwo Jima. It is 100% original new to market and not a made up piece. It has been in personal collection for many years but I\'ve been selling off certain items. This album has 140 photos. I believe it belonged to a mom because there are Marine and Army photos mixed in with normal family photos. Of the 140 approx. 1/4 are military with close to 30 USMC including a large squad photo, very hard to find. Some with weapons, one behind a 50 caliber water cooled machine gun, B-29s and more. Many are marked Guam. Then there are many pages, at least 20,of newspaper clippings all about Iwo Jima. One newspaper article shows Marines with captured flags. One the last page there is label that says Taken on Iwo Jima and there is a Japanese flag is folded up next to it. The flag is stained and has creases from being folded in the album all these years. I did not want to touch it so I left it as it came. Also has some Japanese post cards. I start all my sales at $2.00.
