From time to time I comeacross movie props that were used in some of the westerns shot here in Santa Feand around New Mexico . I got this hat in with a large collection others from alocal costumer, I bought the entire, large lot of old movie hats. A 25 year collection. Here is a great hat, made by one of the old western hat makers, Stetson, marked 6-X beaver felt. The hat has a tall 6 inch \"Gus\" crown witha 4 inchbrim. Color is silver belly. Size is a loose fitting 7 1/8.Please check your circumference before offerding? Check the chart for your size. No odor, does have a weak spot in the brim as pictured and a small 1/4\" tear in front edge of the brim.. A good hat for a SASS shooter. We have 3 big western movie sets(towns) here in Santa Fe including the Eaves Movie Ranch, Ford Movie Set andthe Bonanza Creek Movie Set. 2-4 movies are being shot here most of the time. Irode as a mounted extra in one show last year (that\'s me on the gray) .Hundreds of westerns have been shot here over the years includingLonesome Done, Silverado, 3:10 to Yuma,True Grit. The new TV westernLongmireis shooting here now. Awestern, staringTommy Lee Jones ..“The Homesman” was shot here last summer along with \"A Million Way To Die In The West\". TheMagnificent 7 starts shooting soon. NO returns. Study the pictures beforeofferding, and ask question if you are unclear about anything.
