Lot #6 - Winchester Model 1873 loose parts for .44-40 rifle (1887)A nice selection of mostly original parts for a Winchester Model 1873 rifle, large bore receiver with a lower tang lettered to a .44-40 with round barrel(not included) lettered 2-11-1887, shipped 3-15-1887 from Winchester in 1887 (If I can locate the email from the Cody Museum I once belonged I\'ll copy it, else, the info is from them).Mostly Original Parts = a few small screws, the toggle pins, the magazine spring are new production.The magazine tube is an original seamed model. All parts you see are in excellent condition. The wood stock is beautiful without cracks or chips, the finish suffered some sort of liquid mishap in its life that stained the finish (leave as is or use a diluted refinisher like Formby\'s to not remove the finish but \'melt\' it back to a uniform color, then re-oil). No other parts are included with this sale, just the few loose parts you see on the board. I will include the paper as received from the Cody Firearms Museum years ago. Since it wasn\'t mentioned in the Cody description I will assume the barrel referred to is the standard 24\"* Mostly Original Parts = a few small screws, the toggle pins, the magazine spring are new production.The magazine tube is an original seamed model, undented, not rusted. Good clean threads on the receiver. All parts you see are in excellent condition.
