This is the assembled Western Town Street Front of covered sidewalk and businesses that was part of the Gunsmoke and/or Tales of Wells Fargoplayset made by Louis Marx in the 1950s and 1960s. These playlets were based on the popular television shows set in the American Old West.Gunsmoke starred John Arness as Sheriff Matt Dillon and Tales of Wells Fargofeatured Dale Robertson as Agent Jim Hardie. Both were popular Western TV shows of the 1950s and 1960s.
The street front is lithographed in full color front and back (interiors). It is in very nice condition with only slight surface wear or scratching and minor wear to the tabs. There is some light glue(?) residue on the roof above the Music Hall. It is complete with the brown plastic saloon doors of the Silver Dollar Music Hall.
