Up for sale is a nice M1 Carbine US Government Issue Barrel manufactured by Underwood dated 7-44.  Markings on barrel include: Underwood, 7-44, P, \"Ordnance Flaming Bomb\" and an import mark from \"ARL ORD Arlington Va\". This import mark gives a hint as to some of the barrels history; it would have seen service in Korea and imported back into the US post 1968.  See pictures for general condition.  The M2 Ball Cartridge (30-06) shown is not included in the sale but is often used as a muzzle wear gauge for how far in the cartridge can be inserted. The pictures show the cartridge inserted as far as it will go.  The bore is clean bright & shiny with no pitting and nice rifling.
