Up for true un-reserved sale is a genuine Springfield Armory early long throat walnut stock. Very nice overall condition with nice colour and grain. Locks up very nicely in the barreled action we tried it in. Early features include; long throat with 32 stamped in barrel channel, beveled clip latch recess, straight cut trigger guard recess, and small hole lower buttplate screw hole. This stock has all the features of GHS tenure and correct for 1941 and the early part of 1942 Springfield Armory productions rifles . No cartouches, circle P proofs, or rebuild markings, but stock retains its original profile and has not been heavily sanded. Couple small checks near buttplate with no buttplate overhang. Hard to find early M1 wood that has not been sanded to heck or with fake cartouches applied. Stock ferrule assembly included.
