Hi, I have an early Madame Alexander vintage Cissy doll. She is wearing a 2 pc lavender silk brocade lounging pajama set. I have added a purple ribbon to her hair, that is only pinned on (can easily be removed) Cissy also wears slippers that match her ensemble. It seems that almost every old Cissy doll from the 50's tells a story. This doll was obviously displayed in a seated position for many years, as her hip mechanism is not as stiff as some Cissy dolls. The doll isn't broken. The legs are attached on the walking mechanism fine, all parts are there, and nothing is cracked internally. All parts are attached, and she is strung properly. I have examined her completely. There is just some looseness, and I think she wants to sit back down! This doll is unplayed with. There are NO signs of play. There may be a couple of little paint nicks on the body, but NO splits, or cracks.She stands and displays fine, I just want to make buyers away that the legs do move more easily than some Cissy dolls. This Cissy has a WONDERFUL peaches and cream type face. It is truly beautiful. ALL of her original face paint, ALL original brush eyelashes, are straight and perfect. Perfect lips and eyebrows. She is very angelic looking. Cissy's eyes have oxidized some, and not as blue as they once were. They aren't cloudy and moldy, they are still pretty. Her body, is all even toned, and very nice. Pretty blushed knees. She is nice and clean. Blonde hair in 99% of it's original set. Her outfit is seamstress made. The sleeves and pants were a little long, so they have been cuffed.
