Lovely Madame Alexander Cissy girl in her original tagged long draping slipper satin gown in the stunning color of pale pink (looks like the color of champaigne). The more common colors this particular gown came in were silver, grey, blue and aqua. This doll and outfit date back to 1956. The gown itself is more of a loose fit compared to many of Cissy girls other formal gowns. The flowing gown bodice is lined in a cotton organdy. The gown is adorned at the bust area with a small circlet. The under garments (slip and panties) are a very shiny bright aqua taffeta. The long full slip has the usual MA big round metal hoop to hold Cissy\'s gown way out. The hoop is out of round as is all of these slips that are found today. The gown and slip both have all of the MA square snaps in place and in perfect working order. The gown has very few discolorations on the satin. Please review the 2 smudges on the gown between the waistline and the bottom which is shown in the first 3 pictures. Considering the type of material and years of age, the gown looks quite awesome to me. The gown does still retain the Madame Alexander Cissy tag (see picture). Cissy\'s seemed stockings are in EVC, faux pearl necklace is great, vintage pearl MA earrings are great, original pink bow in hair is great, strappy shoes are a darling vintage replacement with sparkle heels. I have seen these heels go for $95 on not too very long ago! Cissy brunette hair is shiny and clean with none missing and in its original set. I added a cute jewel for Cissy\'s dark hair, consisting of a cluster of clear rhinestones and I have to say I love it! The lovely MA fuzzy faux brown fur cape is wonderful. The gold elastic is missing yet a few fragments are still visible. This outfit was sold only on the doll and not sold as a boxed item.
This pretty brunette vintage Cissy girl really has no issues. I would say that for her age, she would be considered in excellent vintage condition. Hair is clean and shiny, no tears in rubber arms, no splits, cracks or fractures on her body. Face colors are bright, all lashes are present, eyes open and close as they should, blue eyes are clear and bright, body poses just great therefore stringing is good, no musty or bad odors. Gorgeous doll and outfit!!
