Meet \'Madelena\', a Renaissance beauty...
She started out asa 1970\'s Palitoy Marie doll. Her original hair and make-up were gently removed. Her makeover was done using quality professional grade paints and sealers.
Her eyes are painted a vivid blue/green, with a smokey shadow, brown and black liner and painted side lashes. Lips are painted a deep crimson and her cheeks are softly blushed. I can change the lip color if you prefer something lighter. Upper eyelashes are rooted in black saran hair.
Her hair has been styled and set in extra long soft waves with sides softly swept up with braids. Re-rooted in a mixture of three shades of red (the color is beautiful in person!) Extra plugs were added throughout for a more natural, fuller look.
Her gown was machine and lovingly hand stitched by me. Sewn in a white gauze fabric and trimmed with white fur around the neck and down the cascading sleeves. I used a petite patterned black and gold ribbon for the belting around her waist and sleeve bands. I added tiny pearls (adorable!) and gold beads to the black scalloped collar wrap. The gown is removable and finished off with a snap.The sleeves can be removed but not without snipping a thread.
