A George Mason & Son Half Plate Field Camera Outfit, 19th Century Fine Antique Plate Camera
An impressive early plate camera outfit by George Mason & Son, including brass lens, plate holders, changing box and leather case, which may be of interest to collectors.
The mahogany body is in very good order and is marked, G.Mason & Son, Makers, Leeds\'. The dark leather bellows appear to be without fault.
The camera is fitted with a unmarked brass waterhouse stop lens with a full set of stops of various apertures. The lens elements are clean and free of faults.
Included with the camera is an S.J.Levi & Co. \'The Pullman\' changing box in mahogany and brass.
In fine condition, this camera has been well protected over the last 120 years or so, having been stored in its own leather and baize-lined case.
