You get one rooting tool, and an extra collet to allow it to be used for even larger needles if you wish, although the smaller collet works well for both 38 gauge and 36 gauge felting needles.
The tool itself is slightly under 3 inches long, not counting the needle. The needles that Denise uses for her Micro-Rooting are a very fine and strong 38-gauge felting needle-- these needles grab fewer hairs than the regular felting needles for that amazing Micro-Root(tm) effect! The needles are not included.
