Up for sale is a beautiful antique Cake Basket or Wedding Basket. It was manufactured by Middletown Plate Company which operated from 1864 - 1899. The Footed Basket stands 7" tall and is 9" x 9" across the bowl of the basket. It is marked on the base with pattern number 1797 along with the Middletown Plate Company hallmark. This lovely intricate antique basket displays beautifully, however as you can see from the photos, there are some scratches and plate loss, especially in the bowl.
