Bottom and original wire handle ARE present!Many years ago, Ziz purchased an old 5&10 cent store stock original Beistle box containing of a few of these cool and desirable Beistle skull-and-crossbones lanterns from the 1940s or 1950s. This lantern iscomplete and has NEVER been assembled or used in any way! It features askeleton skull-and-crossbones design on all four sides with orange tissuebacking in perfect condition. The colors are black, orange and ivory-white andwe particularly like the oh so SPOOKY effect a lantern such as this one provides whenilluminated with a battery-operated candle! It is marked Made in USA. The Beistle Company, still operating in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, is knownfor their superb designs and this so apparent with this lantern since they eventook time to include diecut flames at the top. You’ll notice that our lastpicture shows a lantern just like this one that has been assembled. We did thisso that you will know exactly what yours will look like. A few of the tips of the flames have very tiny bends from being storedin its original box. There are NO tears or any other damage whatsoever.
