Description

 

For sale is a rare Japanese Kakiemon style dish from the late 17th century.
Painted to the centre with an underglaze blue landscape scenery with boats, houses, rocks & Pine trees.
The border of the dish with overglaze (enamel) decoration in Kakiemon colors.
 

A similar Kakiemon dish is in the MacDonald collection located in the Gardiner Museum in Toronto, Canada.
