This is an outstanding Insignia and Photos grouping all to Sergeant William T. Durack (1907-1983) of Geneseo, Illinois. He is listed in the online roster for A Co.,  325th Glider Infantry Regiment. (There was an online tribute to him, listing him as a "Top Sergeant" in the 325th, which made sense considering his age, but it didn't occur to me that the tribute page would disappear over time.) Grouping includes Durack's well-worn Dog Tags, 325th DUI, 82nd/325th  and Infantry Sweetheart Pins, two Sterling Glider Infantry Pins, British-made Ribbon Bars, Bayonet/Hand Grenade/Rifle Proficiency Badge scratched on back "Corp Durham 1942", Uniform and Hat-removed 82nd and Glider Infantry Patches, Overseas Cap with blue HBT lining, repaired Combat Infantry Badge, Duffel Bag dated 1944 or 45 re-issued to him. Yardlong Photos of Co. G, 326th (not 325th) infantry, 82nd Division with Names (Durack is not named on it) and "82nd Infantry Division standing 'Retreat' following Sgt. Alvin C. York's Address to the Division. The first assembly of the Division since re-activation."; framed 8X10 "3rd Battalion 325th Infantry - First and Last Review of 82nd Division" (one Company Guidon Bearer marked with an "X"), two colorized 8x10's of Durack with "Let's Go" DUI on Cap (one under glass), colorized 8x10' of Durack with 8x10 of Wife (under glass), matted 5x7 of Durack and Wife, several 5x7 portraits taken in stateside camps. Two Photo Albums of Durack and Wife - many family photos, with a few dozen of Durack from 1942 through1946 - includes some outstanding photos marked "Fall 1945" of Durack on hunting trip, wearing his rigger-modified M-1943 Trousers tucked into Paratrooper Boots, and wearing a captured German Field Cap! Also some photos of an armed Honor Guard unit marching in a Geneseo parade - one marked "Firing Squad - 1946 - Durack Commanding". There are six 8X10 photos (two under glass) and one 11x14 of Durack's "Firing Squad" posing and officiating at funerals and memorial ceremonies. Large Unit History "Saga of the All American", printed in 1946, about twice the thickness of most of these Unit History books. US 48 Star Flag, 31"x58", multi-piece construction, no maker marks, with light fraying to the Fly and a few holes in the Glory.

Large 20 Pound Box. International Shipping will be declared at full value and framed photos will be shipped without the glass.
