CASE TESTED XX (1920-40) \"CLASP\" KNIFE WITH GREENBONE HANDLES, PATTERN #6172
This \"\" sale is for a Case Tested XX (1920-40) \"Clasp\" Knife with a single (low) regular pull large clip blade, a Bowtie shield, and jigged Greenbone handles, pattern #6172. I believe this knife may have been \"cleaned,\" but I am unable to say for certain. Regardless, it appears to be in bright, shiney, unused and unsharpened condition. The onlyblade flaws I see are some verytinylight carbon specks in the pull area and on the top edge, and a small light smooth \"squiggly\" mark just below. Blade snap is very good, with no \"wobble\" when open. The handles appear to be free of cracks, chips, and shrinkage. The backspring is clean and shiney like the rest of the knife. This knife is 5 1/2\" long closed, and approximately 9 9/16\" long with the blade open. My most recent Parker price guide quotes this knife at $3,200 in mint condition.
