The item up for offer is one (1) Abu Garcia Ambassadeur OWAA limited edition 5000C bait casting reel new in box with leather case, inserts and accessories. This limited edition was made specifically for the 1975 OWAA convention in Lake Charles, La. by Abu Garcia, who in honor of the event removed their badge/medallion of the Swedish National Coat of Arms and replaced it with the OWAA badge/medallion on a very limited number of reels. It is believed that this was not only the first but the only time Abu has taken their badge off their reel. Information is very limited as to the number of reels that were produced in this edition however in the 39 years since the event, history and consensus seems to indicate that only 4 of these reels can be confirmed and verified to exist this reel being one of the 4. Special note: In the interest of research and historical recording if you happen to have any special verifiable knowledge about this reel edition that is not presented here or any verifiable correction to the facts presented here please e-mail us.
