The chance of two drives fail at the same time is slim to none.If you prefer, you cancombined the storage for two drives to get a maximum space usage up2TB. Two Drives of Different Capacity Installed
The drives will show up as 2x the lower drive capacity under one combined volume
One volume will show up and have the capacity of the lower drive. Any files will then be mirrored to the larger capacity drive.
Two Drive of Equal Capacity Installed
If each drive is formatted, two volumes will appear. If each drive is unformatted, one large volume will appear (the drives combined).
One volume will show up and any files copied on the drive will be mirrored to the other corresponding drive.
*Note - this item can only work with up to 1TB per drive slot for a total maximum capacity of 2TB combined
