Up for offers is this beautiful & extremely nice looking Zenith \"cube\" black dial wood tube AM Shortwave radio in good working condition. The model number on this wonderful radio is 6-S-222 & it was produced in the 1937 era. The wood cabinet is all original that is solid & tight with no missing veneer. This cabinet has been cleaned & polished which still retains it\'s original sheen or shine finish that looks fantastic & the grain in the wood looks spectacular & very pleasing to the eyes. The wood cabinet looks stunning but it is not perfect as there a few very small nicks, scratches & some wear on the edges from age & use. For a radio that is 79yrs old & in it\'s original finish it looks amazing. I have taken many pictures so you may get a good view at this stunning looking & working radio.The black AM SW dial scale & dial pointers are both are in fantastic condition with good graphics on the dial & working dial lights. The glass dial scale lens cover is in great condition that is clean & clear. The 4 wood control knobs with the Z logo on them are original & in great condition. The grill cloth on top appears to be original & in very good condition. There has been a long wire attached for the antenna & this wire must be stretched out in one direction or another \"left,right,up,down to receive the best reception. You \"may\" need to add additional wire for better reception.The chassis is in good condition & it is a 6-tube unit with 4-controls & all controls have been lubricated & are in great working condition. The 4-controls are from left to right #1-TONE #2-ON/OFF/VOL #3-TUNING & #4-BAND. The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filters installed & paper/wax capacitors were replaced as needed. The electric cord is in great condition. This radio has been restored to good working condition. With all vintage electronics this radio is being sold in as is condition.When this beautiful looking Zenith is powered up, it pulls in AM stations all around that cool looking dial scale & plays them clean & clear with plenty of volume in my area. It also picks many SW stations & plays them well. Using the SW band may differ in receiving SW stations depending on the time of day, evening or late night hours when using this band.
